Ring of Parking Thieves Discovered, Arrests Made

Numerous arrests were made in the parking lot at Woodmont and Bethesda avenues, when police discovered a ring of thieves who were stealing your parking space.  The thieves would stay out of sight, while unsuspecting drivers waited patiently in the lot for someone to vacate a space.  The moment anyone backed out of a parking space, a thief would appear virtually out of nowhere and zip into the empty space, stealing it before the waiting driver’s very eyes.

Rima L. said, “I was idling, burning fossil fuel, the whole time that woman put her child in the car seat, folded the big stroller and wrestled it into the trunk.  I wanted to scream, ‘Hurry it up, lady!’ but I didn’t.  I waited like a good girl.  And what did that get me?  Bupkus.”

“There are rules,” said police spokesman Shep W.  “Without rules, a total breakdown of society occurs.”

The 14 suspects are being held without bond.
